We are a local tubing team in Katira, Guatuso, Costa Rica, dedicated to one experience: tubing the Rio Celeste river safely, with real local guides.
Local team, one river
Rio Celeste Experience is a tubing specialist based in Katira, Guatuso, a few minutes from the Rio Celeste and Tenorio Volcano National Park. We focus on one experience and try to do it better than anyone: a safe, fun and unforgettable float down the turquoise Rio Celeste.
Our tours run with Onca Tours, the tubing operation in Katira where our guides, equipment and meeting point are based. When you book with us, you deal directly with the people who run your day on the river.
Meet the founder
Rio Celeste Experience was founded by Steven Vargas, a tourism professional from Guatuso. Steven works as a tourism driver-guide in the community, is director of Onca Tours, serves on the board of the Guatuso Tourism Chamber (CATUGUA) and is studying in the UNED tour guide program. He started Rio Celeste Experience to give travelers clear, honest information and a direct way to book with the local team.
